The Revlon Girl.

Since its debut in 2016, The Revlon Girl has grown from a new and unknown work to one of the most talked about plays in recent years; enjoying overwhelming critical praise and audience acclaim- not just in the UK but also internationally.

With an impressive all-female cast, this Olivier-nominated production first found success during its inaugural tour in Wales during the 50th Anniversary Year of the Aberfan Disaster; soon finding itself to be a surprise smash hit at the Edinburgh Festival before transferring to a sell-out London run.

Along the way it picked up no fewer than 5 Off-West End Nominations (including ‘Best Production’ and bringing home the Offie for ‘Best Play’); an Olivier Nomination for

‘Outstanding Achievement’ before being named ‘Play of the Year’ and voted top of London’s Park Theatre ‘All Time Top 5 Favourite Shows’ audience poll. The play subsequently found independent success in South Africa, premiering at the National Arts Festival, (winning the coveted Silver Ovation Award) before moving on to a sell-out run in Nelson Mandela Square in Johannesburg. Its publication by Samuel French Ltd in 2018 heralded a series of new performances all over the world – from Australia to New Zealand to Turkey to the United States.

Based on events following the Aberfan Disaster, The Revlon Girl is a universal story of courage and resilience; a true story of grief, loss and of humour – told powerfully by those who, having lost so much, still found the strength to carry on.
