Anglesey Search and Rescue (MonSAR) are the only Lowland SAR in the whole of Wales, the rest being covered by mountain rescue.
“We are called out to find missing or lost people. Lost people want to be found but often missing ones do not know they are missing because of dementia or a mental health problem and if they have suicidal tendencies they often do not want to be found.” John Rogers
Established in 2015 the team of volunteers, there are no paid staff, are on call 24/7, 365 days a year. Receiving no formal funding they rely on fund raising events such as this evening’s concert and collections/donations.
