Literary
Friday 15 September 1:00 pm
The workshop will look at the importance of free writing.

Isabel Adonis is a writer and artist living in Llandudno. Her latest book, And…. A Memoir of My (Welsh) Mother, won the Creative Nonfiction Category in this year’s Wales Book of the Year awards. Her workshop will examine the question: Why write? There are enough books in the world.

Isabel will talk about how moving from when she couldn’t write, to writing a book.

She will focus on the process of writing, focusing on the importance of talk, allowing style to happen by itself, and how structure works.

The workshop will look at the importance of free writing, taking inspiration from Natalie Goldberg’s Writing Down The Bones, and we will play some writing games.

Isabel will also read from her own book.
