International concert pianist Iwan Llewelyn-Jones returns to Ucheldre by popular demand for a series of Sunday afternoon concerts in March, June, August and October 2023.
For his second afternoon recital, Iwan pays homage to the extraordinary skill of artist Charles Tunnicliffe who lived and work on Anglesey for over thirty years, and brought the island’s birds to life on canvas. This programme of solo piano music includes works by Mendelssohn, Granados, and Ravel, together with Iwan’s own transcriptions of Dilys Elwyn Edwards’ ‘Caneuon y Tri Aderyn” (Songs of the Three Birds).
