The history of the Ucheldre Centre is told in two books, both available at the Centre.
Convent, by David Crystal and J C Davies, tells the story of the Bon Sauveur nuns and the convent school which they ran during most of the twentieth century until its demolition in 1990.
The Ucheldre Story, by David Crystal, takes up the story in 1990, when a proposal was made to turn the surviving convent chapel into a community arts centre. The book was written to celebrate the half-millionth visitor to the Centre in 2007.
